Meet our Instructors

Opal Downer has 10 years of experience as an educator. She is also an experienced book illustrator, currently working on her own children's books. Opal has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honors diploma from York University, as well as a degree in book layout and design from the London College of Design in the UK. She then rounded out her education at the University of Toronto, school of Architecture.

Noelle is a beloved and experienced teacher, who not only teaches art but also encourages students to venture into painting, tie dying, masks, bookbinding, papermaking and bead work. This ensures that Noelle's students not only learn the fundamentals and master them, but also learn how to think creatively, how to apply their knowledge in a different realm and how to develop the confidence to do so!
